Terms of Service
By using Coachii you agree to these terms. They're written to be readable — please take a few minutes to go through them.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Coachii platform (iOS app and website), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use Coachii.
These Terms are between you and Coachii. For formal queries about these Terms, contact us at support@coachii.app.
2. What Coachii Is — and Is Not
Coachii helps adults find local sports coaches, communicate with them, and manage sessions. We provide the tools; we do not deliver coaching ourselves.
- Coachii is a discovery and communication platform only — not a coaching agency or employer of coaches.
- We do not employ coaches. Coaches are independent individuals or organisations.
- We do not verify coaching qualifications, DBS certificates, insurance, or any credentials claimed by coaches.
- We are not responsible for sessions, activities, or interactions that take place offline.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
Coachii is for adults aged 18 and over only. By creating an account, you confirm you are at least 18 years old.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, up-to-date information when registering and using Coachii
- Keep your login credentials secure and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access
- Hold only one personal account, which is non-transferable
4. Coach Responsibilities
4.1 Your profile
You are solely responsible for the content of your coach profile. You confirm that all information — including your name, qualifications, badges, and DBS status — is accurate, current, and not misleading.
You must not claim qualifications or DBS clearances you do not hold. Parents and players rely on your profile when choosing a coach, and providing false information may expose you to legal liability.
4.2 DBS and insurance
If your coaching involves regulated activity, you are responsible for holding a current and appropriate DBS certificate. Coachii does not verify DBS status; your declaration on your profile is your own.
You are also responsible for holding any public liability insurance and qualifications required by your sport's governing body.
4.3 Guest participant data
If you record attendance for adult participants who are not on Coachii, you confirm:
- All participants are adults aged 18 and over
- You have their permission to record their information on the platform
- You will use that data only for attendance purposes
4.4 Professional conduct
You agree to act professionally in all interactions with other users through Coachii, including via the in-app messaging system.
5. Parent and Player Responsibilities
- You are responsible for checking a coach's qualifications, DBS status, and insurance before engaging with them. Coachii does not do this on your behalf.
- Provide accurate information when enquiring about or enrolling in sessions.
- Communicate respectfully with coaches through the platform.
- If you cannot attend a session you have enrolled in, please notify the coach as early as possible.
6. Coach Profiles — No Verification
Coach profiles on Coachii are self-declared and not independently verified. We do not audit, confirm, or endorse any information in a profile, including qualifications, DBS status, or insurance.
If you believe a profile contains false or misleading information, please report it via the app.
7. Sessions, Enrolment, and Cancellations
- Coaches are responsible for the accuracy of their session listings.
- Enrolling in a session is an arrangement between the parent/player and the coach — Coachii is not a party to that arrangement.
- Coachii does not process payments. Any financial arrangements are between you and the coach directly.
- Coaches should notify enrolled participants promptly if a session is cancelled. Participants should notify the coach if they cannot attend.
8. Messaging
The in-app messaging feature is for communications related to coaching and sessions. You agree to:
- Use it only for that purpose
- Communicate respectfully and professionally
- Not send spam, unsolicited promotions, or bulk messages
- Not use messaging to harass, threaten, or abuse other users
Messages are text-only — no file or media attachments. We may review messages where we have reasonable grounds to believe these Terms have been breached, or as required by law.
9. Prohibited Use
You may not use Coachii to:
- Break any applicable law or regulation
- Impersonate another person or create a false identity
- Collect or harvest other users' personal data without their consent
- Post content that is defamatory, fraudulent, offensive, or sexually explicit
- Transmit malware or any harmful code
- Interfere with the platform's operation or security
- Use Coachii for unsolicited commercial purposes or data scraping
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 Ours
The Coachii name, logo, platform design, and original content are protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy or reproduce them without our written permission.
10.2 Yours
You retain ownership of the content you submit (profiles, session listings, messages). You grant us a licence to store and display it as needed to run the platform. You confirm your content is accurate and does not infringe anyone else's rights.
11. Platform Availability
We aim to keep Coachii available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time and will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Coachii is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for coaching services delivered offline, inaccuracies in coach profiles, or any injury or loss arising from sessions arranged through Coachii.
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.
Where we are found liable, our total liability shall not exceed £100 (one hundred pounds sterling).
Your statutory rights as a consumer under English law are not affected.
13. Account Suspension and Termination
You may close your account at any time by getting in touch via the app or via account settings.
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, provided false information, or engaged in unlawful conduct. We will give notice where possible, unless doing so would put other users at risk.
On termination, your profile is removed from public view and your right to use the platform ends immediately.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via the app or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Coachii after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without affecting any rights you may have as a consumer in your local courts.
